We’re Back and Ready to Hit the Ground Walking (Not Running)!
After the whirlwind of the last few months, we’ve decided to take things at a leisurely pace. For those of you who may not have noticed (we don’t blame you!), Dibs and I have been off social media since July. That’s right—months of radio silence. But for good reason! We’ve made some major life changes that have transformed our lives, and we’re excited to finally catch up with you all.
A Big Life Decision: Simplifying Our World
It’s only been 10 months since Dibs and I decided to make some bold moves. We sold our house, sold our business, and embraced the joy of simplicity. Translation: fewer things to stress about! And trust us, after the chaos of the past three months, simplicity is exactly what we needed.
A Chaotic Few Months (With a Touch of Zen)
Let’s just say the last few months have been absolute chaos. Imagine the kind of stress where you’re searching for your phone, only to realize you’re already holding it—that was us! We knew that sharing our experience during those intense moments might have resulted in confusing, all-caps rants, so we stayed quiet. But now that the dust has settled, we can finally give you the update.
Our New Home in Kamberg Valley

Big news: We sold the house and moved out! We’ve been settling into our new home for just over a month now, and the change has been nothing short of amazing. Our new home is nestled in Kamberg Valley, near Nottingham Rd and Rosetta, right at the foot of the Drakensberg mountains. The views? Breathtaking. Even our morning coffee feels like a luxury, thanks to the stunning scenery.

We’ve downsized to a cozy two-bedroom cottage, leaving behind the extras and embracing life’s essentials: peace, quiet, and—best of all—no doorbell to disturb our afternoon naps!
The Business Handover: Easier Said Than Done
On the business front, I sold my company to one of my employees, Arthur. Initially, I thought this would be an easy process. Spoiler alert: It wasn’t! Who knew that handing over something you’ve built from the ground up would be so emotionally challenging? The handover has been less of a smooth “passing of the baton” and more like carefully lowering a delicate package. But within the next two to three months, I’ll be officially out, and Arthur will take over completely. Good luck, Arthur—you’re going to need it!
What’s Next for Us?
That’s the latest from our side. We’ve got some big plans cooking for the future, but for now, we’re happy to be back, reconnecting and starting to share again. Our next post will take you through our journey of packing up, moving out, and settling into our new haven—because who doesn’t love a good moving saga, right?
Life is feeling pretty zen at the moment. Sure, we’re still ironing out the final details of the house sale and the business transition, but compared to the chaos of a few months ago, we’re in a much calmer place.
Nicole’s Wedding: Trading One Stress for Another
Did we mention Nicole’s wedding is just around the corner? Only a week away, we’ll be swapping one kind of stress for another (hello, speeches and suits!). It’s the third wedding in three years for our family—our kids are really on a roll with these milestones! By now, we’re practically experts at smiling through the chaos.
Stay Tuned for More!
We’re thrilled to be back, and there’s so much more we’re excited to share as our next chapter unfolds. Keep an eye out for upcoming posts on our “socials” about our move, our new life, and everything in between. And hey, if we go silent again, you’ll know—we’re probably napping!
Thanks for sticking with us, and here’s to more adventures to come!
